Each morning, when you're drinking you are sipping on your lemon water or morning coffee, write in a little notebook three things that you are grateful for. Aim to write three different things each day. Can be tricky at first but after a short while of this practice it becomes easier to write new and different things each time this is because you rewire your brain to start looking for things to be grateful for.
You may also choose to do this gratitude practice each evening before going to sleep instead. You can write down three different things specifically from that day, that you are grateful for.
Consistency is key with this practice as it is a way to spend some time immersing yourself in feeling grateful. It could be for major things such as a loved one or for small and beautiful things such as a lovely conversation with someone that you have only just met or a kind gesture someone afforded you.
Studies have shown that a consistent gratitude practice over the course of six weeks indicated a marked improvement in individuals sense of wellbeing and happiness.
